This is our most popular package for weddings * Ceilidh Band (up to 2 x 60 minute spots) over a (max 5 hour period) with the rest of the night covered by our DJ. * Our pro DJ ensures slick fades between tracks & seamless transitions between band and DJ * Access to our user friendly online music planner * The input of an experienced DJ to carefully choose tracks to keep the energy building on the floor throughout the night. Our DJ will go through your music list a week before the event. A week gives enough time to source and download any music he doesn’t already have. For weddings our DJ will usually play the first dance / dances. The band then play just over an hour. If there’s a break, our DJ will select any ‘non party’ tracks as background music. This will be followed by the DJ set which will include a balance of your own requests as well as taking guest requests on the night. The band come on again during the final hour for the finale.
* A radio microphone for your speeches * Setup of the band’s sound system complete ‘before’ you sit to eat * Option of your own playlist through our sound system ‘during’ the meal. Setup ‘before’ the meal gives peace of mind and ensures that (despite any delays throughout the day) the ceilidh band and DJ are ready to go whenever you are!

The Ceilidh Experience Ceilidh Band with DJ

This is is our most popular show.  The Ceilidh Band with DJ hire includes the ceilidh rock band with caller, sound system, lighting and dedicated DJ with access to our online music planner.

Our DJ

Our DJ will be smartly dressed, approachable and friendly. He will come fully equipped with a wide range of music to cater for all tastes and once the booking is confirmed, you’ll be given access to our client log-in area where you’ll be able to arrange first dance and other requests. Once logged in, you can just add/remove music (whenever you like by simply accessing the client area) from the bottom of the band’s home page.

On the night, our DJ will read the crowd and take requests, building the energy on the dance floor with each track change. With a dedicated DJ, you can be sure that the music will be expertly mixed, volume levels consistent, and there will be no awkward gaps between songs. Our DJ will also handle any necessary announcements throughout the evening.

It’s important to note that if you prefer the DJ to play a predetermined playlist without any guest input or requests, the role of a DJ may not be necessary, and a simple playlist may suffice. If you want complete control over the music, our Playlist Disco would be a more suitable option (your own playlist streamed through our sound system and synced with the lighting).

Ceilidh Band & DJ

Both the ceilidh band and DJ share the same sound and lighting and will all be present for the full evening. Usually the band come back on for the finale during the final hour of the night.

Speech Microphone and afternoon setup of sound/lighting

Although we can complete our full setup and soundcheck within an hour of having access to the performing area, we also offer the additional option of an afternoon setup of sound and lighting. This provides peace of mind and ensures that (in the event of any potential delays during the day) our sound and lighting are already in place and ready to go whenever you are! With the afternoon setup, we can also provide a speech microphone (if required), as well as the option of streaming your own background music playlist through our sound system during the meal.
