Electric Guitar
Back in 2010 Nawaz Haq was a popular and well respected Livingston based entrepreneur. Business was going great with his hotel and various other ventures – but he hadn’t given up on his boyhood dream of becoming a rock god! One afternoon whilst browsing Gumtree on his lunch break, he noticed an advert which was to change his life forever ‘ROCK GOD GUITARIST WANTED’. He picked up the phone and the following day, was in a rehearsal room with 19 other musicians who had auditioned for the position of ‘Ceilidh Experience’ guitarist. Needless to say, he got the job and the rest is history!
Nawaz has studied the guitar from a young age and has a wealth of experience in many styles of music including blues, jazz, funk and most importantly rock! His versatile and high level of playing has allowed him to work as a session musician on many projects with numerous established international artists, including the renowned Susan Boyle. Since being appointed as Ceilidh Experience lead guitarist, Nawaz’s passion for rock music is finally getting the platform it deserves!
