Ceilidh experience handled all of the music for our wedding - acoustics at reception or our wedding, sound system for the dinner, ceilidh itself, followed by DJ. Norman was super helpful in the lead up to the wedding and did a great job coordinating with other contractors on the day, everything went unbelievably smoothly. All really nice guys while also very professional, you could tell they were enjoying themselves as much as the guests were which definitely made a difference. The acoustic duo during reception was lovely, made much more of an impact than we were expecting. The ceilidh itself was great, the electric guitar makes a massive difference, much more fun than a traditional band with a lot of our guests commenting on it. Norman also did a great job calling out the dances, very helpful since half the guests weren't Scots! Same for the DJ - managed to play all the songs we wanted, did a good job reading the room and it all flowed really smoothly. Would not hesitate to recommend them. We had the most incredible experience with Ceilidh Experience at our international wedding! they brought an amazing energy and had everyone up and dancing. Even some guests who had never experienced a ceilidh before were completely immersed. The band explained the dances clearly, made it easy for everyone to join in, and created such a warm atmosphere. We had The Ceilidh Experience at our wedding dance in October 2025. They were absolutely fantastic. Great energy on stage, and the electric guitar adds another fun dimension along with the traditional tunes. They called the dances well, but then also let us get on with it after a few goes - you've got to have some lively chaos at a good ceilidh! Would highly recommend. We booked The Ceilidh Experience package with the DJ for our wedding reception and it was the BEST decision we could’ve made!! Norman was super responsive throughout the whole process and the band themselves are absolutely amazing. Greg, the DJ that we booked with their package, was absolutely brilliant too - so friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted for the evening. The Ceilidh Experience played at our wedding at Errol Park in August 2025, and we couldn't have been happier!!! They were brilliant, full of energy, and just a joy to have as part of our day. Our guests really enjoyed the ceilidh and they managed to lead our non-Scottish guests through all of the different dances. We had the Ceilidh Experience 3-piece band + DJ play at our wedding last month, and it was the highlight of the night. We and our entire guest list are from the US, and no one knew a thing about ceilidh. But we didn't have to because they called the dances! And even when we had no clue what we were doing, the music was so good and kept the crowd dancing a jig regardless of the correct moves! They knew when the Americans were tapped out and brought out the DJ who played all of our favorite songs. Normal met with us before via Zoom to go over the details, and the day of the wedding went super smoothly. And though I was incredibly sore the next day, I wouldn't change a thing. We hired the Ceilidh Experience (incl. DJ) for our wedding and they were an absolute delight. We decided to pick the band after going to check them out during the Edinburgh Fringe - we were sold when they started weaving the Knight Rider theme tune through one of the songs. Communication was great in the lead up and we even met Norman for a coffee beforehand to make sure we were all on the same page with song choices, particular ceilidh dances etc. On the night they were fantastic and our guests had a great time. We really enjoyed the way the ceilidh dances and DJ were mixed throughout the night - rather than having a ceilidh block then a DJ block. Huge thank you for making our night so special - cheers!
