We have extensive experience in providing entertainment at a diverse range of venues and locations and we can work with you offering help and advice to create the perfect party for you and your guests. Ceilidh rock band with DJ
We offer a unique fusion of ceilidh rock and Scottish dancing which makes us the perfect alternative to a traditional ceilidh band or wedding function band. Our professionally arranged music and thoroughly rehearsed show along with our in-house DJ and lighting guarantee a night of non-stop entertainment!
Our aim is to make each of our wedding bookings extraordinary. This is why (in addition to our residencies and other commitments) we limit ourselves to a maximum of 50 private events per year. This allows us to maintain a high level of enthusiasm and energy, ensuring that every event is truly unique. By prioritising quality over quantity, we guarantee that our customers receive an exceptional service and the best possible experience.
Planning your wedding ceilidh
When you book with us, you’ll receive exclusive access to your own user friendly planning site. Once logged in, you’ll be able to manage the booking & arrange and plan your DJ requests in advance of your wedding day. We’ll liaise with the venue on your behalf. We’ll double check the timings and providing them with all the relevant paperwork, public liability insurance, PAT certificates etc. And, Norman (our band leader) will personally be available to meet with you before your big day to chat through everything over a coffee. Having a personal connection with your wedding suppliers creates a relaxed atmosphere that will make your day even more special. How does the Ceilidh and DJ combination work?
Although we can alter timings to suit the crowd on the night this is the general template we find to work best and tend to stick with most of the time:
- First dance/dances: DJ
- The ceilidh band will play until the break/buffet (which is usually between 60 & 80 minutes)
- DJ will play background music during the break/buffet
- DJ set / Disco
- In the final 45 minutes the band will come back on for a high energy ceilidh finale which will end with all of the guests on the floor for The Orcadian Strip The Willow
- DJ – Loch Lomond
- Band – play a rocked up version of Auld Lang Sine
Our DJ & musicians will all stay until the end of the evening. If you want more ceilidh/less DJ or more DJ/less ceilidh, just come up and let us know. Please make sure that we are given enough notice to plan out our schedule so that we are able to bring everything to a good finale at the correct time.

The Ceilidh Experience brought so much joy, laughter and fun to our recent wedding.
From the get go, booking was made very easy with Norman. He catered to all our requests and nothing was a problem!
On the day, we had many Australian family and friends attend our Scottish wedding and they have not stopped talking about how much fun they had. They all got up and each dance was called so that they could easily understand and join in.
We could tell that the band were having just as much fun as us and they interacted with all our guests. I don’t think I left the dance floor the entire night!
We would 100% recommend the Ceilidh Experience for any event!

We recently had the band play our wedding at Carberry Tower. I could not be happier with the overall experience. Norman took the time to communicate and meet up with us prior to the day and the band’s performance on the night was darn near flawless. They took the time to understand the demographic and experience level of the participants and the playing and calling could not have been better.

The Ceilidh Experience were the higlight of our party! Everyone loved the alternative edge to the traditional music, the callings were clear and the energy was electric. Choosing our ‘DJ’ music for the breaks and after the band finished was very easy and helped extend the energy to the early hours. A wonderful experience from start to end.

An absolutely phenomenal ceilidh band who are extremely talented and with a brilliant insane and varied repertoire. This is not your grandmothers ceilidh. Want an energetic and amazing band to give you a rock ceilidh? These guys are your band.
Norman was fantastic to talk to and really built a relationship before hand. All the band mates were super friendly. Also they have an amazing database/ website where you can request music for the Dj set but also register your first dance song etc – whatever you want. I cannot recommend this band enough, they were totally above expectations. Friendly, funny on the mic, brilliant musicians, passionate about ceilidhing and they were hands down the highlight of my Wedding Day. Their interesting style makes it for a brilliant Ceilidh, taken to a new level.
