This band was absolutely amazing! Both to work with and their talent. I felt lucky to have them play for us for our small wedding. They kept the energy up and are just great musicians overall. Dancing was a blast! Cannot recommend them enough!Posted on Google

We were an Irish and Chilean combo, with a lot of English people as well, most of which did NOT know how to ceilidh. He was very patient with the calling and although we did terrible anyway, we had a blast!!!! Many guests have commented on the ceilidh experience and how impressed they were. We also got the DJ service, and the DJ kept us dancing all evening!Posted on Google
M Ferguson-Wright16 December 2025Ceilidh experience handled all of the music for our wedding - acoustics at reception or our wedding, sound system for the dinner, ceilidh itself, followed by DJ. Norman was super helpful in the lead up to the wedding and did a great job coordinating with other contractors on the day, everything went unbelievably smoothly. All really nice guys while also very professional, you could tell they were enjoying themselves as much as the guests were which definitely made a difference. The acoustic duo during reception was lovely, made much more of an impact than we were expecting. The ceilidh itself was great, the electric guitar makes a massive difference, much more fun than a traditional band with a lot of our guests commenting on it. Norman also did a great job calling out the dances, very helpful since half the guests weren't Scots! Same for the DJ - managed to play all the songs we wanted, did a good job reading the room and it all flowed really smoothly. Would not hesitate to recommend them. Getting them to cover all of the sound was made everything so much less stressful, and was still very competitively priced compared to our other quotes - worth every penny, 10/10.Posted on Google
V11 November 2025We had the most incredible experience with Ceilidh Experience at our international wedding! they brought an amazing energy and had everyone up and dancing. Even some guests who had never experienced a ceilidh before were completely immersed. The band explained the dances clearly, made it easy for everyone to join in, and created such a warm atmosphere. Great energy on stage, and the electric guitar adds another fun dimension along with the traditional tunes. They called the dances well, but then also let us get on with it after a few goes - you've got to have some lively chaos at a good ceilidh! Would highly recommend. Great value too.Posted on Google

Norman was super responsive throughout the whole process and the band themselves are absolutely amazing. Greg, the DJ that we booked with their package, was absolutely brilliant too - so friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted for the evening. They were brilliant, full of energy, and just a joy to have as part of our day. Our guests really enjoyed the ceilidh and they managed to lead our non-Scottish guests through all of the different dances. Ashley Hartmann8 August 2025If I could give 6 stars, I would! We had the Ceilidh Experience 3-piece band + DJ play at our wedding last month, and it was the highlight of the night. We and our entire guest list are from the US, and no one knew a thing about ceilidh. But we didn't have to because they called the dances! And even when we had no clue what we were doing, the music was so good and kept the crowd dancing a jig regardless of the correct moves! They knew when the Americans were tapped out and brought out the DJ who played all of our favorite songs. Normal met with us before via Zoom to go over the details, and the day of the wedding went super smoothly. And though I was incredibly sore the next day, I wouldn't change a thing. If you want a wedding full of fun and dancing, hire the Ceilidh Experience!Posted on Google
Helena Strachan21 July 2025The Ceilidh Experience were absolutely brilliant in both their communication with us in the lead up to our wedding, as well as their performance on the night. They made our wedding reception really special - everyone was up dancing and had a fantastic time! They were very flexible in accommodating our requests and offered to meet in person beforehand to go over the finer details. We would 100% recommend them to anyone regardless of their ceilidh dancing experience, as they were great at calling the dances.
