These are the dances we tend to play for most mixed crowd events as the moves are fairly easy to pick up. The Eightsome Reel is usually too complicated for the average wedding party to learn on the spot. However, if we are requested to play it and the guests already know the moves, we’re delighted to play for the Eightsome Reel too. Do let us know in advance if you want this dance. We probably haven’t played it in a while, so we’ll revisit the set beforehand!!
If you have any other dance or music requests, please let us know in plenty of time to allow for us to learn them properly.
Musical Interludes
We don’t stand in silence between ceilidh dances. Instead we tend to play instrumental covers of well known tunes/songs. This ensures that the party energy stays high and people actually dance between dances which we find works very well!! You can see some examples of these on our video page.
